The following roles are open for applicants (available to Tucson DSA Members in Good Standing only)

• Co-Chair(s) - The Co-Chair(s) share responsibility for facilitating and coordinating the overall work of the COSE Committee. This includes running meetings, ensuring follow-through on committee decisions, serving as the primary point of contact between COSE and the Steering Committee, and keeping the Committee's work aligned with its mandate and timeline. Co-Chairs work together to make sure the Committee is moving toward full chartering and that no one person is carrying the load alone.

• Secretary - The Secretary keeps the COSE Committee organized and running smoothly. Working closely with the Chairs, the Secretary prepares and distributes agendas in advance, takes and distributes meeting minutes/notes, and maintains the official record of votes, motions, and decisions. They track action items between meetings, monitor attendance, confirm quorum, and manage official correspondence on behalf of the Committee. They also maintain Committee records in an organized and accessible way and help document the policies, procedures, and work plan required for the Committee's full chartering.

• Logistics Coordinator- The Logistics Coordinator develops and maintains the COSE Committee's logistics standards for events, including virtual meeting protocols, venue coordination procedures, and expected timelines for scheduling, etc. They support neighborhood stewards and other organizers in evaluating candidate venues on capacity, cost, alignment with organizational values, and ticketing requirements. The Logistics Coordinator works closely with the Chairs and fellow Committee members to ensure events run smoothly and that logistics knowledge is documented and shared rather than held by any one person.

• External Events Coordinator - The External Events Coordinator leads the COSE Committee's work on events that build the chapter's visibility, base, and power in the broader community. This includes researching and recommending community fairs, canvassing, and voter registration opportunities aligned with the chapter's platform, and developing policies and procedures for event endorsement. The External Events Coordinator works closely with the Chairs and other chapter leaders to ensure the chapter's external presence reflects its values and standards and to build repeatable systems for evaluating and pursuing external opportunities.

• Internal Events Coordinator - The Internal Events Coordinator leads the COSE Committee's work on events that build the chapter's own membership cohesion, skills, and capacity. This includes supporting the neighborhood steward program, coordinating with the Membership Coordinator and fellow chapter leaders on internal programming, and helping plan chapter-wide gatherings such as the annual chapter convention. The Internal Events Coordinator works to ensure internal events are consistent, well-run, and accessible to the full membership.  

• At-Large Member - At-Large Members are voting members and decision-makers on the COSE Committee, with full standing to weigh in on and vote on the Committee's policies, procedures, and priorities. Rather than owning a single fixed area of responsibility or bottom-lining the execution of work themselves, At-Large Members provide oversight, judgment, and support across the Committee's full mandate. They work closely with the Chairs and Coordinators to identify gaps, flag issues as they arise, and step in to help wherever capacity is thin or a specific push requires extra hands. At-Large Members help ensure the Committee's work doesn't depend on any one person and that knowledge, responsibility, and leadership stay shared across the group.
